My sister Lara Karamatsu became the 2017-2018 President of ASCE

My younger sister Lara was sworn in as the 2017-2018 President of The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Hawaii Section on the evening of Thursday September 28, 2017 at 3660 On The Rise in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was also MC for the program, the 2017 ASCE Hawaii Section Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Awards Banquet. Attending the event was my father Richard, mother Laraine, Lara’s husband Ross, and I. We sat on Lara’s firm Parsons Brinckerhoff’s table. My other younger sister Mia and her family reside in the Bay Area, California and was not able to attend.
