If love is all-powerful, can it survive the deepest divides caused by anger and suffering?

“If love is all-powerful, can it survive the deepest divides caused by anger and suffering?”

I wrote this sentence as I was preparing my query letters to literary agencies for my second novel, a historical fiction about a friendship that is born between an Iraqi boy and girl while in a hospital after surviving a suicide bomb.

Hawaii Buddhist Council service at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, May 20, 2019 at Oahu, Hawaii.

This morning was beautiful at Punchbowl Cemetery or the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, May 20, 2019 at Oahu, Hawaii. The Hawaii Buddhist Council, in which I’m a member of had a service for all the veterans. My late great uncle Roy Okubo was a member of the 522nd Artillery and 442nd Regimental Combat Team during World War II.
