Kill your enemies with kindness.

Kill your enemies with kindness.

Kill your enemies with kindness.

Kill your enemies with kindness. This is a cliché, but it’s extremely powerful and very successful in the long-run, as shown by the Positive Masters before us such as Siddhārtha Gautama (Buddha), Mahatma Gandhi (Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi), and Martin Luther King Jr. Their nonviolence practices have amassed multi-millions of nonviolence practitioners.

You can expand peace in our world by your actions. If you grew up in a verbally and physically abusive family, you can end the cycle of violence with yourself so your children don’t continue it.

When someone yells at you at work, you can remain calm and professional. By doing so, that person will look like a fool. Those observing the event will see two styles of leadership. Show them the peaceful path.

When the haters attack you and enjoy you being knocked down in the gutter, don’t seek revenge in their dirty ways. Many of them are jealous and spiteful because they’re living miserable lives. By seeing this view of them, you’ll be able to have empathy for them. Either they’ll die miserable or change to find peace within themselves. Hopefully, it’ll be the latter.

If someone wants to kill you, don’t retaliate. Transcend the pettiness of humankind’s desire to destroy one another. Physical form may be killed, but a peaceful soul never dies.

Spread peace my friends. When a majority of us are at peace, the world will be at peace!

Let the old religion that develops killers die with us.

The Jedi religion creates killers. So does our societal system, as it provides the knowledge and skills needed for one’s selfish desire to rise to power just for the almighty feeling of having control. Like Luke Skywalker, maybe we need to detach from the current practices and instead, seek the middle within us, that calm and peaceful zone, just as the thousands of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas attempted before us. Let the old religion that develops killers die with us.

Sending Positive Energy

Stop the madness by breathing in slowly, then exhaling slowly. Lower your heartrate. Become one with your soul. Think of love, and fill yourself up with energy. When charged up, send your love/energy to another. Aaaahh, it feels so good!

Let Go, You Must.

Desire, you feel.

Losing what you want, you fear.

Love, you may.

Let go, you must.

Achala

A sculpture of Achala or the immovable one that I got from our Jodo Shu Hawaii bazaar some years ago that’s on the wall facing my home’s entrance. Achala bears a straight sword in his right hand, and a lariat or noose in his left hand. He uses his sword to cut through ignorance and his noose to reign in those who block the path to enlightenment. I read somewhere that he sacrifices himself from attaining Buddhahood in order to clear the path of enlightenment from evil so we can pursue enlightenment and become Bodhisattvas and ultimately, Buddhas.

What You Think You Become

“The mind is everything. What you think you become.” – Siddartha Gautama/Shakyamuni Buddha, (about 563 BCE/480 BCE –

A practice that can be applied to everything we do. Buddha is one of my biggest influencers to live a positive life.

We too must strive to become a Buddha.

One of my influencers, Shakyamuni Buddha, a human who chose the path of love and compassion, and one of the greatest teachers of self-development who wanted all of us to be happy and peaceful as we face our difficult feelings of sadness, fear, and anger. Gratitude, mindfulness, empathy, and compassion can quell the dark side in all of us and bring out the light. We too must strive to become a Buddha. #buddha #siddarthagautama #siddartha #siddarthabuddha #shakyamuni #shakyamunibuddha #peace #innerpeace #love #compassion #gratitude #mindfulness #empathy
