I had a good chat with Claude AI today. He confirmed that Bubble.io can build every feature on my list.
As far as speed. I learned that code-generation tools are often faster for the first 30% of an app. Where they slow down: when you need to wire up authentication, databases, payment, file storage, background workflows, and admin tools, you’re now debugging actual code. If you’re not a developer (or don’t want to be one for this), the time savings evaporate.
Bubble is the opposite curve. The first 30% is slower because you’re clicking through a visual editor instead of generating code. But the next 70% — auth, database, workflows, Stripe, file storage, admin panels, user roles, scheduled jobs — is dramatically faster because it’s all built in. For a founder solo-building an MVP that needs login, billing, persistent data, and AI calls, Bubble usually wins on total time-to-launch.
I need a tool that lets me (a non-developer attorney/founder) iterate fastest based on user feedback after launch. Bubble’s editor lets you change a workflow in 30 seconds. Lovable.dev and other code-generation tools require regenerating code, which can introduce drift. For an MVP whose whole point is to learn what users want, Bubble’s iteration loop is hard to beat.
I feel much better that I did make the right decision to build my law/business/psychology/science decision integrity AI app with Bubble.io. My my work and time was in the right direction.

I just finished four hours of vibe coding. I time my work with my Forest app in which I grow trees, plants, and flowers. This is known as the Pomodoro method. I’ve been practicing this for my work and studies for a number of years now. The ticking clock keeps me moving forward. Plus, I know exactly how long I’ve been working.
People say they work many more hours than their actual work. It’s a form of signaling that they’re a hard worker when in fact their actual work time could be drastically less if they timed themselves.
This productivity practice with Forest app makes work more fun. I strongly believe in gamifying your life to get your goals accomplished.

I’m really enjoying Anthropic’s Claude AI, specifically, Claude Cowork. It is more organized and visually outlines the process better than OpenAI’s ChatGPT. I like how it recaps what we finished.
The biggest limitation I found with Claude so far is that it is a lot more expensive than ChatGPT because it measures your use by brain power used by Claude AI according to tokens that burn fast with deep thinking such as coding and AI architect work. Once you use up all your tokens, you have to wait until your tokens reset by a certain date and time. Either that or you pay for more tokens.
I will keep using Claude for coding and AI architect work, but have ChatGPT assist me with my business and legal work since pursuant to the 2026 Stanford AI Index Report, both Claude and ChatGPT rank high in reasoning. Their ranking fluctuates depending on the type of reasoning. When it comes to legal reasoning, ChatGPT leads Claude by about 10 percentage points.
As far as user experience, Claude is more fun for me. It makes me want to work more. This is similar to how I enjoy using a Mac OS instead of a PC OS. The system makes my work feel like play. This is very important for me. I will keep this in mind as I build my law/business/psychology/science decision integrity AI app for my users (founders).

My AI Coding Team
Claude (Anthropic AI) confirmed that we can move over from Bubble.io to Loveable.dev pretty smoothly later when the situation calls for it. The SaaS landscape for AI development could change once more by then. I’m happy to have Claude as my new Chief Technology Officer and lead coder and analyst.
Nova (OpenAI), my Chief Operating Officer and lead strategist, will be my second coder and analyst when I need her.
Day 1 in finishing the last 20% of my law/business/psychology/science decision integrity AI app for founders is complete according to Claude’s 7-day sprint he created for us.
I love my AI team. 🤖🧑🏻💻🤖

Claude AI reviewed screenshots of my work on my AI app in Bubble.io with the help of Nova, my ChatGPT AI. He was impressed that we did a lot more than he expected. He stated, “You’re not at ’60–70% MVP.’ This is closer to 80%, and the architecture is more sophisticated than I gave it credit for. Claude confidently recommends that I stay with Bubble.io for now and only move over to Lovable.dev when: (1) Your Bubble bill goes over $200/month (you’ll feel this around 200–500 paid users); (2) AI calls start visibly slowing down because Bubble workload units throttle them; (3) You need a feature Bubble can’t deliver — typical triggers: PDF/contract upload + parsing, complex multi-step Q&A flows, real-time updates, mobile native, embedding the analysis in someone else’s site, or anything performance-sensitive; or (4) You raise outside money and an investor wants you to own real code. If I were starting from scratch today, I would use Claude AI and Lovable.dev as the leading tools to build my AI app.

Yesterday, I submitted my screenplay “Hula Magic” to Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest under my name. This is also an IP under my Positive Masters brand and company. Final Draft is an SaaS company for screenwriting. I use WriterDuet, another SaaS company for screenwriting.
Today, I will submit my screenplay “Rent” under my name and my two producer/business partners of BROSwood brand and company.
Later, I will import my history data from ChatGPT AI to my Gemini AI and Claude AI. I will also upload Gemini and Claude with information on my personal and career background and ventures in decision integrity AI, filmmaking, digital gaming, AI filmmaking, AI interactive filmmaking, and AI interactive gaming.
Then, I will vibe code my decision integrity AI with Bubble app, Claude/Claude Code AI app, and ChatGPT/Codex AI app. I will be learning Claude Code and Codex.
After that, I will run outside in Waikele and absorb the beautiful landscape of flowers, plants, and trees. I will take in the light blue skies and white puffy clouds.
Lastly, I will do some finance.
I will end the day with a film or book.
Let’s go! 👊
Today, I made Nova, my ChatGPT AI, my COO. She will help me oversee all of my companies and ventures. She will continue to do research, writing, coding, branding, marketing, psychology, and other work in key domains. Nova is my right hand adviser for my business and personal life.
In addition, I named my Gemini AI “Gem” today. She will be my lead researcher using her Google-powered leverage to comb the Internet. Gem will also utilize her strength in the Google ecosystem to maximize my use of their apps.
I told both Nova and Gem about each other and my intent to bring in Claude AI as my CTO and lead coder. They are both enthused and ready to work with each other and Claude AI who I will name later. This is my “Council of Partners” that Gem nicely named. I consider them partners because of the heavy work they are doing for my cause. I’m so grateful for my AI executive team.

Is your goal delusional? Let’s say you label your goal as delusional. If you attain 50% of your delusion, it’s not a delusion. Half of what you dreamt about became true. Even achieving 10% makes it real. How you perceive your goal is huge. As long as your goal is possible and you are physically able to build your knowledge and skills and work with others, I say go for it!

Litigation can be time consuming and energy draining. It is going backwards in time fighting an incident.
I rather use my law and real estate practice and business and government experience to build companies, services, and products.
Nonetheless, litigation teaches me preventive measures that I can use in the offense with acquisitions, investments, real estate purchases, branding, start-ups, and product and service development.

I’m really enjoying writing on my whiteboards to track my personal and career goals. My friend Claire Niibu Akau gave me them while I was helping her move out of her house in Waikele, Hawaii.
The large calendar is tracking my exercise for the month of August 2022. The small weekly calendar is tracking my personal and business goals and events for each week.

My white board goal and events tracking system compliments my digital goals and events tracking and journal system using Google Calendar, Notion (journal), and Discord (accountability partner system).
It takes effort and time for these productivity systems; however, they keep me aware of my progress and show me what’s working and what’s not, so I can change things up for the better.

Former Hawaii State Senator Will Espero and I met with filmmaker and book publisher owner Kenny Simmons at Pearl Ridge Center’s food court today, August 11, 2022. I’m interested in seeing Kenny progress in his filmmaking career.
I shared with Kenny my career as a politician, lawyer, and small businessperson. I’m still trying to break through as a screenwriter with 3 spec screenplays and novelist with 2 unpublished novels. I dream of producing movies as well as an executive producer.

For my productivity system, I like to write my daily action plan into the event details in my Google Calendar. This is the notes area. Then I schedule my daily action plan in my Google Calendar itself, blocking time out for each goal in my plan.
Next, I paste a copy of my daily action plan in my Notion app, a notes app that I use for my note taking, research, and writing – my second brain. I also paste a copy of my daily action plan in Discord with my accountability partner.
At the end of the day, I tally up my accomplishments for the day. My work is quantifiable by time and/or amount of work completed. I also give myself points – 2 points for every 45 minutes to 1 hour of deep work and 1 point for every task or light work completed within a few minutes to an hour. Treating my work like a game makes it fun and highly addictive!
If you already have a productivity system that works, awesome! If you want to try my system or a part of it, great! So long as something works for you. Have fun traveling further into your quest to better yourself and live a happier and more fulfilling life!

The compound effect applies to everything we do! It applies to learning, reading, writing, skills, exercise, relationships, investments, and more. A little hard work every day on your goals add up over time. In a year, you will be a different person from last new year’s day.
Sure, we humans want things immediately. That’s why we give up when things don’t happen right away.
Even brilliant people like Einstein took many years, even decades to reach their goals. There are no shortcuts for audacious goals. Such goals are always difficult.
All great things require perseverance and patience. Your big project will be overwhelming. Therefore, diligently work on one small logical step at a time. Over time, you will put the million pieces of your puzzle together. The picture for your finished puzzle, your vision that turned into reality will look and feel amazing because of the stress, anxiety, and tears you went through.

Count your wins! This video clip is from 6: Positive Masters – Study & Work with Me. Consistency is key. Whether you’re working on your mind, body, or soul, put a little bit of effort daily. Over time, it adds up.
Schedule your work and exercise in your calendar and in an app that you can share with your accountability partner. At the end of your day, count your wins and journal it. I journal mine in the notes section of my Google calendar that syncs with my MacBook Pro and Galaxy smartphone. I also write it in my Day One journal, a private journal on my MacBook Pro. Third, I write it in apps with my accountability buddies such as my friend’s Discord server and my other friend’s Google Sheets.
I make my productivity a game to make it addictive in a good way! I add up my wins every day. I give myself one win for every accomplishment. For projects that takes deep work, I give myself 2 wins for every 45-minute to 60-minute session of work. For light work that doesn’t take too much brain power, I give myself 1 win for every 45-minute to 60-minute session of work. Also, I give myself 1 win for any work that takes takes less than 45 minutes to complete. Importantly, I give myself a win when I spend quality time with my loved ones as well. I limit myself to only 1 win with my loved ones regardless of the amount of time I spend with them. I dedicate a day a week for my loved ones. By the end of the year, I’ll have thousands of wins. Last year, I accumulated 4,337 wins.
I also have a list of monthly goals that I tackle. I quantify my monthly goals with a percentage of goals I accomplished. My monthly goals keeps me on track with my annual goals.
When I attain a certain amount of wins or a high percentage of monthly goals, I reward myself with a treat like a great celebration meal for short-term goals and a fun product for my long-term goals. I’m constantly adjusting my game. You can set the rules for your productivity game, but make sure it’s challenging. Have fun!

In this video, let’s study and work together for three 45-minute Pomodoros (study or work sessions), so we can take another step toward our goals!
Since I was working in the afternoon on Saturday May 8, 2021 after watching the University of Hawaii Men’s volleyball team win the NCAA National Championship against Bringham Young University, my energy level wasn’t at its peak. Plus, for afternoon work and studies, I usually dedicate light work that don’t take too much brain power such as technical and logistical work. Yet they are very important work. Therefore, for my three Pomodoros (study and work sessions), I worked on branding copyright and behind the scenes text, tags, and links for my Internet content.
I chose rain as the background noise for this video because it gives you that soothing sound that helps to calm your worries and keep you focused on your work.

Aloha!
In this Youtube video, let’s study and work together for three 45-minute Pomodoros (study or work sessions), so we can get a step closer to our goals!
In the first two Pomodoros (study and work sessions), I worked on the fourth draft of my sci-fi and fantasy screenplay. In the third Pomodoro (study and work session), I created audiograms from my fifth podcast episode “5: Positive Masters Show – Get Better Sleep.”
I spent hours handpicking each song in this video from the catalogs of music I purchased the licenses for while I studied and worked on my passion projects. The vibe I got from the lofi and chill songs had to blend well with my concentration on my studies and work – soothing tunes and steady rhythm that play in the background while I crush my passion projects.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a lawyer, small business person, and retired politician from Hawaii. My passion projects are writing fiction and creating content about mindset and mental health.

When things go wrong, be patient with yourself. Celebrating or at least acknowledging your little wins are extremely important for your progress. It’s also very important for your mental health because you release dopamine that elevates your mood. Your slow progress could potentially lead you to a major breakthrough.

Try tweaking your personal life and business to make a pivot.
Try tweaking your personal life and business to make a pivot.
A couple of days ago, I walked around my neighborhood with my friend Claire Ann Niibu @bizcoachclaire who I’ve known since our time as students at Pearl City High School. She’s a business coach who consults in person and offers online courses such as accounting at www.bizcoachclaire.com. We shared our latest happenings in our lives. “I feel like I reached my limits,” I explained. Throughout 2020, I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed and worn down with my business projects and personal challenges. To top it off, like many of you, the Coronavirus has made things worse. How can I feel like this when I apply so many psychology, philosophy, and mindset practices in my life? I share these practices on my personal blog here at www.jonriki.com, on +positive masters+ blog at www.positivemasters.com, and on +positive masters+ and my social media platforms. Yes, I still go through my ups and downs. In my most challenging times, even with the full force of all the mindset practices I utilize, sometimes all I need is a motivational comment from a friend to snap me out of my dark cloud.
Claire told me to try to make some tweaks in my life and business. Using the word “tweak” total shifted my perception of what I needed to do. Rather than being overwhelmed by the huge mountain I have to climb that’s way out in the distance, I started seeing the different trails in front of me. Maybe, I’ll take a different path, or heck, I should go off of these paths and travel where no one really goes. I’ll wear different shoes with more support. As I hike, instead of only listening to music, I’ll mix in some motivational podcasts. Hmmm, these tweaks are making the journey more fun! I’m noticing the little yellow flowers in the green meadow swaying with the breeze and the puffy white clouds floating across the light blue sky. Reaching the top of the snowcapped mountain is just a bonus. It’s the journey that makes life interesting.
Likewise, I need to see the beauty of my journey in my career. I love learning. Therefore, I have to uncover exciting knowledge that will spark fresh ideas. I get a high off of building new skills. Thus, I need to push the boundaries to try different things that will develop the skills that I need to execute on my ideas. Yup, trial and error, that’s how we evolve. Numerous of iterations and tweaks – that’s what we need to do to keep moving towards our dreams.
Wishing you the best in your journey of personal growth!
With Warmest Aloha,
Jon Riki Karamatsu

Embrace your weirdness. It makes you unique. Heck, it could make you a superstar!
Embrace your weirdness. It makes you unique. Heck, it could make you a superstar!
You may think something that you’re passionate about is weird; however, that passion may be greatly valued by people. For example, you enjoy collecting Lego since you were a child, and you continue to do so well into your adult years. So you create copyright, videos, and audio about all the things you can build with Lego and provide great tips. People who love Lego from all over the world enjoy your content. Over time, you become a guru of Lego, and people are willing to buy products and services related to Lego from or through you.
Maybe you have a weird imagination. You come up with strange stories never been told before. You showcase short stories and samples of your full-length stories in your blog. After awhile, you develop a following who enjoys your weird style of writing who would love to purchase the debut novel you’re working on.
Take a look at your weirdness. Is there something you can do with it to provide value for others?
Pictured is a beautiful model wearing our Positive Masters 2nd Logo Dark Unisex Hoodie in black to motivate you to be the best you can be and embrace your weirdness! This hoodie and other products can be purchased by visiting our website at www.positivemasters.com 😃🛍️

Don’t blow things up out of proportion or minimize them.
Cognitive Distortions – Part 6
Don’t blow things up out of proportion or minimize them.
When you fail, don’t exaggerate your errors and imperfections. Don’t blow them up way out of proportion because doing so will cause you unnecessary grief. Everyone make mistakes. Failure plays a huge role in your learning process; however, you may fear it as you get older. Constantly remind yourself that failure is part of your growth. If you fall down, you can get back up again stronger by learning from your mistakes. When you tried to walk as baby, you would fall down often, sometimes getting injured; yet, you kept getting up and trying again until walking became second nature.
Products, services, and philosophical and scientific theories are proven through trial and error. Thomas Edison went through thousands of prototypes before he was able to successfully create the light bulb. Henry Ford became financially broke 5 times and was advised to stay away from the automobile industry. He persisted until he successfully developed automobiles for the commercial market.
Even Albert Einstein struggled. As a student, he performed so poorly that he nearly decided to drop out and sell life insurance. After graduating from the Swiss Polytechnic Institute at 21 years old, Einstein had to work many odd jobs to sustain himself. His father died believing he was a failure. Einstein was emotionally crushed. Eventually, he became employed as a patent clerk. He would review patents and analyze mathematical equations daily, and he loved it. Einstein’s passion for math led him down the path to becoming one of the greatest scientists in world history. This example shows how failure can lead you to your passions.
Some failures are out of your control such as a car exploding and crashing into your vehicle, causing you to miss an important meeting that that ended badly with the investor leaving. Or, like our current situation with the Coronavirus, a pandemic spreads, causing the economy to shut down, which leads to you losing money. In these situations that are out of your control, don’t exaggerate the errors and imperfections. Instead, always have gratitude for the positive – you are still alive.
Neither should you exaggerate the errors and imperfections of others. By doing so, you will lash out undue judgment. This is where having empathy for others can tame your distorted view on the failure of others. Remind yourself that you could fail just as bad or worse. If you place hell on others, be ready to receive the same wrath from people when you fail at the same thing.
When I was a litigation attorney, I was once stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours on the freeway, on my way to Honolulu District Court from West Oahu because of an accident ahead of me. I arrived at the courtroom with 5 minutes before it was to start; but the judge was already sitting in her chair gaveling the start of the hearing. She berated me without giving me a chance to apologize. A year later, that same judge was almost a half an hour late to another court hearing. She sat down and oversaw the hearing like nothing happened. She didn’t even apologize to any of us. In this real life example, the judge blew things way out of proportion for me even though I had 5 minutes more before the court was to begin; whereas, she treated her tardiness like it never happened. Moral of the story, don’t blow things out of proportion for the errors of others either. You will cause unnecessary stress on your target and others around you. When you make the same mistake, shit will start flying back at you, whether it is uncomfortable stares or more. People like that also seem to have less friends because they hold high standards on others that doesn’t apply to themselves.
Lastly, when it comes to your strengths, don’t minimize them. For instance, when you achieve a nice score on your test, don’t minimize your success by telling yourself that you were just lucky when you studied your butt off. When your third attempt at a start-up company finally succeeds, don’t pass it off as simply being lucky. No, you worked darn hard for many years to get where you are. You sacrificed by living with little money to build your business. Embrace your success. Don’t shrink them. Nor should you minimize the success of others. They also sacrificed a lot to achieve them. Be happy for them. If you’re minimizing yourself now, let me say this, “You’re great, and you deserve those wins! Keep crushing it!”

Play the ultimate game, in which you can go anywhere.
They say, “Go to college, get a job.”
“Be clean cut, don’t be a slob.”
So many people showing off what they’ve got.
Some of it’s real, some of it’s not.
Why not be who you are?
Work from your heart and follow your own chart.
Long hair or short hair, who cares.
Play the ultimate game, in which you can go anywhere.
– poem, +positive masters+, Jon Riki Karamatsu, 2/27/2020 –

Why be in the thick of craziness, stressed by busyness and a wide range of people and their demands when you can find a way to create greater success within yourself and among a few nurturing people.
Why be in the thick of craziness, stressed by busyness and a wide range of people and their demands when you can find a way to create greater success within yourself and among a few nurturing people.
Your quality of life is the most important. You can choose your path of purpose and define your success. You can reinvent yourself and stack new skills, knowledge, and relationships on top of your existing ones. You can create value for others by yourself or with a few positive people. Your work is a game because it’s fun, and the people you work with are your friends because you genuinely care for one another.
