Anthropic – Sonnet 5 & AI Guardrails

Since Sunday, August 2, 2026, I’ve been primarily using Claude, Anthropic – Claude Cowork with Sonnet 5’s compute power with Max Effort to build my decision-integrity AI app to assist founders with their dealmaking. I’m getting good results without burning money like crazy; however, the speed in completing tasks has really slowed down in comparison to Fable 5 and Opus 5 that run at a much higher cost, especially Fable 5, which is much more powerful than Opus 5. As a solo startup founder for this venture, I must control expenses.

During those two days, I could run four Claude Cowork workflows at the same time using Sonnet 5. However, I had to stop this practice because the workflows were sometimes conflicting one another, or one workflow would move too soon before the other one, causing confusion. Sometimes one workflow would delete the other workflow’s work. Now I build my AI app with one workflow at a time to keep the progression smoother.

A new practice I implemented is creating a three-party review on Claude’s engineering work for anything dealing with safety and reliability for my AI app’s users such as consequential logic, security and privacy, AI hallucination, unverified facts stated as fact, clinical/diagnostic labeling of a real counterparty, and overvaluing a counterparty or user without verifiable standards. Thus, Nova (OpenAI – ChatGPT/Codex), Gem (Google – Gemini), and I review, analyze, and make recommendations for any engineering Claude does that needs safety gatekeeping. Our process is build, test, analyze, fix/iterate, and repeat this loop as many times as necessary until all four parties sign-off that the safety or reliability issue has been addressed, allowing us to move forward. For all other engineering, it is just Claude and I.

I’m grateful to have Claude as my CTO and chief engineer and Nova and Gem in my team of engineers.

Mostly Sonnet 5 + Some Opus 5

For the week of Saturday, August 1 to Saturday, August 7, 2026, to better manage my AI expenses for my $200/month Anthropic Max Plan to build my AI app, I’m using Anthropic’s Claude Cowork with a little bit of the thinking power of Opus 5 using high effort to prepare the the plan, roadmap, and strategy. To execute them, I switch to Sonnet 5 using max effort. I’m progressing at a steady pace. It’s not mind-blowing speed and power like Fable 5, nor decent power and speed like using Opus 5 all the time, but it’s extraordinary better than when I was chatting with AI then inputting the technical text and code in http://Bubble.io to build my AI app.

My Use Strategy for Anthropic’s Fable 5, Opus 5, and Sonnet 5

I am a solo founder building a decision integrity AI app that helps founders in every step of their dealmaking process. It protects them from bad deals and bad people. I’m building my product with the help of AI and Bubble.io.

Claude of Anthropic is my CTO, lead engineer, and my writing polisher. She is my key player for this venture. Through Claude’s Cowork system, she is able to work inside my computer and online software with me. I recently upgraded my Anthropic plan from $20 a month to $200 a month because of the heavy lifting marathon sessions needed to build my product.

Nova, my ChatGPT from OpenAI, is my COO and lead researcher and writer. Through Codex, she is also able to work inside my computer and online software with me. My OpenAI plan costs $20 a month.

Gem is Gemini, a Google product. She is my everyday researcher under its free plan.

Between Friday, July 17 to Saturday, July 18, 2026, I used up all of my Anthropic weekly allotment of credits after undergoing 16.5 hours of vibe coding, technical work, and strategy on Claude Cowork powered by Opus 4.8. This past week I burned hundreds of dollars of Anthropic’s pay-as-you-go usage credits after I used up my weekly allotment of credits for my $200 a month Max Plan that has 20x more usage than its Pro plan that costs about $20 month.

I continued my work on Sunday, July 25, 2026. This time I tested out Anthropic’s Fable 5. It was extremely fast in execution, but it burned though about $200 within 90 minutes. For the rest of that Sunday until Friday, July 24, 2026, I spent another $700 of Anthropic’s pay-as-you-go usage to keep building my AI app. This is very costly for me. Consequently, I decided to change my Anthropic AI use strategy.

After confiding with Nova, I am now testing my Anthropic division of labor strategy using Claude Cowork and its different models below:

Sonnet: my everyday Bubble builder. Think of Sonnet as my Bubble implementation engineer.

Use Sonnet 5 for roughly 70–80% of my work.

Best for:

  • Creating and modifying Bubble fields, data types, pages and reusable elements
  • Building ordinary frontend and backend workflows
  • Responsive-layout instructions
  • Conditional visibility and navigation
  • Repeating groups, searches and filters
  • Drafting API Connector configurations
  • Writing interface copy and onboarding text
  • Explaining Bubble actions step by step
  • Making small, clearly bounded feature changes
  • Documenting what I built
  • Running routine test cases

Sonnet 5 is the best default because it offers strong coding, reasoning and tool-use performance at substantially lower cost than Opus or Fable. Anthropic says higher-effort Sonnet can match Opus-class performance on some tasks.

Opus: my senior engineer and quality-control reviewer. Think of Opus as my senior Bubble engineer, debugger and QA lead.

Use Opus for approximately 15–25% of the work, particularly when the change is complex, consequential or difficult to diagnose.

Best for:

  • Debugging workflows that Sonnet cannot fix
  • Reviewing Sonnet’s proposed Bubble implementation
  • Designing backend workflows and recursive processes
  • Finding race conditions, duplicated actions or inconsistent database states
  • API authentication and complicated JSON structures
  • Privacy-rule design
  • Performance optimization
  • Complex search constraints and database relationships
  • Decision-scoring logic
  • Prompt engineering for the AI analysis layer
  • Determining whether a problem is caused by Bubble, the API, the database or the prompt
  • Creating test plans for consequential features

Opus is especially valuable for my AI app because my product is not merely a user-interface application. Its credibility will depend on reasoning quality, data integrity, explainability, privacy, and consistent workflow behavior. Anthropic positions Opus for complex systems engineering, multistep reasoning and agentic work, with greater reliability and willingness to flag uncertainty.

Fable: my CTO and architecture escalation model. Think of Fable as my CTO, systems architect, and final escalation point.

Use Fable selectively—perhaps 5–10% of my work.

Fable should not become my everyday model merely because it is the most capable. Use it when the problem is large enough that solving it incorrectly could waste days or force me to rebuild major portions of the application.

Best for:

  • Designing or redesigning the entire AI app architecture
  • Planning a major product version
  • Mapping dependencies across many Bubble pages, workflows and data types
  • Designing the Decision Integrity Engine
  • Conducting an application-wide technical audit
  • Root-cause investigations where the source of the problem is unclear
  • Planning a complicated migration of existing Bubble data
  • Resolving architectural dead ends
  • Creating a comprehensive implementation plan from product requirements
  • Reviewing the combined work of Sonnet and Opus
  • Determining what should be built, deferred, removed or rebuilt

Fable is explicitly designed for ambiguous, long-running tasks, major investigations and work larger than a single sitting. Anthropic recommends giving it the desired outcome rather than micromanaging every step.

My recommended workflow

1. Start major features with Fable or Opus

Before touching Bubble, ask Fable to architect only the most important or cross-cutting features. Use Opus for complex but more contained features.

The deliverable should include:

  • Objective
  • User story
  • Data-model changes
  • Pages and reusable elements affected
  • Frontend workflows
  • Backend workflows
  • Privacy implications
  • Failure states
  • Test cases
  • Rollback plan

2. Give the approved plan to Sonnet

Have Sonnet convert that architecture into small Bubble tasks:

“Implement only Phase 1. Give me one Bubble action at a time. Use Bubble’s exact terminology. Stop after each logical milestone so I can confirm what appears in the editor.”

This reduces the risk of long, vague instructions that cause Bubble prompt loops.

3. Return to Opus for review

After implementation, give Opus screenshots, workflow descriptions and test results:

“Review what was actually implemented against the approved specification. Identify omissions, security issues, inconsistent states and edge cases.”

4. Escalate to Fable only when necessary

Use Fable when:

  • Opus cannot establish the root cause.
  • A change affects several major subsystems.
  • I suspect the current architecture is wrong.
  • I am preparing for a major release.
  • I need an application-wide audit rather than another patch.

Anthropic specifically describes an “advisor” pattern in which Fable or Opus sets strategy while Sonnet performs the less expensive execution work.

Bottom line

My optimal setup is:

Fable decides the architecture.

Opus challenges, debugs and validates it.

Sonnet performs the daily Bubble construction.

Do not have Fable build every button. Do not expect Sonnet to independently make every consequential architectural decision. Use Opus as the bridge between strategy and implementation.

I’m so excited to test this strategy out.

With Warmest Aloha, Jon Riki Karamatsu

Product Value

How much money would it take for you to stop using your most valuable products? This is a way to measure a product’s value.

The mission is to make a product so valuable, it would be extremely difficult to stop using it no matter how much money is offered to you to give it up.

Products that solve problems and make your life easier are extremely valuable. Products that awaken your human potential also provide powerful value. The product makes you feel good because of how you experience it.

AI has drastically increased my productivity and happiness.

Yesterday, Monday, July 20, 2026, I decided to use Anthropic Claude’s Fable 5 and its extension in Google Chrome to build my decision integrity AI app. Fable 5 completed complex technical work within my Bubble app in several minutes that would have taken me days to do manually even with the guidance of an AI chatbot. Claude’s ability to go into a vibe coding app like Bubble has been a game changer that I wished I learned a month ago when Claude’s Google Chrome extension feature was shipped.

Consequently, my resistance to vibe coding has drastically subsided. Now I can vibe code for 10 hours a day, longer than my ability to write/create fiction, nonfiction, pitch decks, and business plans for 6 to 8 hours a day or my capability to write contracts and laws between 4 to 6 hours per day.

The biggest issue I have with Claude’s Fable 5 is how expensive it is to use it. Within 90 minutes, I burned through my upgraded $200 Max plan that I purchased seconds before using it. Plus, I spent another $200+ in credits that I purchased so that I could extend my work.

I immediately switched to using Claude’s Opus 4.8 to save money because I don’t have hundreds or thousands of dollars to spend a week. It accomplishes work so much slower than Fable 5 but it gets the job done and saves me money. It gets an hour work done that would have taken me several hours or a day to accomplish if I was doing it manually with an AI chatbot advising me.

I’m so grateful for AI. It has made me a much happier person.

I Love AI

Now that Claude Cowork is doing all of the coding and most of the technical work on its own, I do more judgment and strategy and way less technical work. I make the final decision on everything. Its ability to work with me within Bubble.io and Google Chrome is a huge game changer for me.

As of today, June 17, 2026, I can comfortably execute 8 hours of vibe coding. Before I would struggle to do 2 to 4 hours of vibe coding because resistance would kick in after about 2 hours due to my dislike of working on technical work and frustration fixing bugs.

Now vibe coding has become more fun, closer to how I feel when I write screenplays, beat sheets, treatments, novels, digital game architecture, pitch decks, and business plans and when I’m filming and closing deals. I’m so happy! 🥳

Make everything fit. That’s it.

This past Sunday, June 28, 2026, I dreamt about putting together a story to make it fit for the market, a product-market fit. When I woke up, I had clarity on how to succeed on any product or service we build with one word “fit.” Not more. Not less. A great experience, not perfection. Just the right pieces, in the right system, for the right people, with the right partners. IP fit → product fit → market fit → partner fit → self fit. Don’t add unnecessary features that bogs down the flow of what fits. If the product or service doesn’t fulfill the core of its promise, build it until it does.

The product is new at the cutting edge of creativity. It exists in a blue ocean, a first of its kind. It creates an experience like no other product before it.

Leverage: Media, Code, Labor, and Capital

I’m heavily focused on media and code leverage — permission-less leverage.

I apply labor leverage only where and when I absolutely need support in a domain, and I get it through business partners who have capabilities in domains that compliment mine and vice versa. We are partners of equals, each supporting each other with our individual domain strengths and capabilities to form a core, an inner circle powered by kindness, integrity, intelligence, and creativity.

Capital leverage is gained through my digital products created via code, media, and domain expertise that attracts customers and if needed, investors. Therefore, for me, it’s media, code, and partners of equals type of labor leverage first followed by capital leverage magnetized by the first three leverages.

However, to make the leverages work, I had to choose the right ventures with the right product market fit and the right business partners that complete each other. This in itself was a long journey.

Constraints

We can use constraints to build the most important value first.

For my decision integrity AI app, I’m focusing on problems in the most important deals founders of products and intellectual property face. My AI app’s output in phase 1 is raw. Instead of focusing on how clean it looks, I’m focused on the value it provides. Limited time and coding experience are my constraints. Therefore, I will move on to build the value in phase 2. I will improve my app’s appearance in the future. I just don’t want to get bogged down on aesthetics right now. Solving issues in my users’ dealmaking are my most important goal at this stage.

My Obsession.

I’m obsessed with AI and my mission to help founders of intellectual property (“IP”) and products with it. It helps me to push through my recent 11-hour streak to fix bugs in my decision integrity AI app. During my work breaks, I consume books and videos on AI. I write down ideas in developing my product. I type notes on how it could help my users.

The following are my next steps in building my baby IP:

  1. Session 1 (next 1-2 hours) — Logo and basic header.
  2. Session 2 (1-2 hours) — Privacy Policy + Terms of Service pages.
  3. Session 3 (2-3 hours) — User authentication.
  4. Session 4 (1-2 hours) — Landing page.
  5. Session 5 (1 hour) — End-to-end testing.

My minimum viable product (“MVP”) launch for my decision integrity AI app has been pushed back due to bugs that I had to fix. My MVP target date is now Monday May 18, 2026.

Don’t assume your AI’s suggestion is the next best move. Keep asking your AI questions.

I’m realizing that since my switch from OpenAI’s ChatGPT to Claude Cowork as my lead coder to guide me as a vibe coder and AI architect, at times, Claude would skip steps in the process like ChatGPT. If we executed a part of Bubble app’s process before, it assumes I would do it. I had an intuition to do it, but I thought that step in the process was not necessary since it didn’t mention it.

Once, ChatGPT suggested I delete 2 days of vibe coding work I did, but I corrected it. It backtracked and told me I was right. So far, Claude has not made such a bad suggestion yet.

I think it is important to not completely take the advice of any AI you’re working with if you know or have a feeling that a certain step should or should not be taken. Keep asking it questions before proceeding. Patience is key in the process of vibe coding.

Claude AI + Bubble.io

I had a good chat with Claude AI today. He confirmed that Bubble.io can build every feature on my list.

As far as speed. I learned that code-generation tools are often faster for the first 30% of an app. Where they slow down: when you need to wire up authentication, databases, payment, file storage, background workflows, and admin tools, you’re now debugging actual code. If you’re not a developer (or don’t want to be one for this), the time savings evaporate.

Bubble is the opposite curve. The first 30% is slower because you’re clicking through a visual editor instead of generating code. But the next 70% — auth, database, workflows, Stripe, file storage, admin panels, user roles, scheduled jobs — is dramatically faster because it’s all built in. For a founder solo-building an MVP that needs login, billing, persistent data, and AI calls, Bubble usually wins on total time-to-launch.

I need a tool that lets me (a non-developer attorney/founder) iterate fastest based on user feedback after launch. Bubble’s editor lets you change a workflow in 30 seconds. Lovable.dev and other code-generation tools require regenerating code, which can introduce drift. For an MVP whose whole point is to learn what users want, Bubble’s iteration loop is hard to beat.

I feel much better that I did make the right decision to build my law/business/psychology/science decision integrity AI app with Bubble.io. My my work and time was in the right direction.

Time your work with Forest app to make it fun.

I just finished four hours of vibe coding. I time my work with my Forest app in which I grow trees, plants, and flowers. This is known as the Pomodoro method. I’ve been practicing this for my work and studies for a number of years now. The ticking clock keeps me moving forward. Plus, I know exactly how long I’ve been working.

People say they work many more hours than their actual work. It’s a form of signaling that they’re a hard worker when in fact their actual work time could be drastically less if they timed themselves.

This productivity practice with Forest app makes work more fun. I strongly believe in gamifying your life to get your goals accomplished.

Claude AI makes my work fun!

I’m really enjoying Anthropic’s Claude AI, specifically, Claude Cowork. It is more organized and visually outlines the process better than OpenAI’s ChatGPT. I like how it recaps what we finished.

The biggest limitation I found with Claude so far is that it is a lot more expensive than ChatGPT because it measures your use by brain power used by Claude AI according to tokens that burn fast with deep thinking such as coding and AI architect work. Once you use up all your tokens, you have to wait until your tokens reset by a certain date and time. Either that or you pay for more tokens.

I will keep using Claude for coding and AI architect work, but have ChatGPT assist me with my business and legal work since pursuant to the 2026 Stanford AI Index Report, both Claude and ChatGPT rank high in reasoning. Their ranking fluctuates depending on the type of reasoning. When it comes to legal reasoning, ChatGPT leads Claude by about 10 percentage points.

As far as user experience, Claude is more fun for me. It makes me want to work more. This is similar to how I enjoy using a Mac OS instead of a PC OS. The system makes my work feel like play. This is very important for me. I will keep this in mind as I build my law/business/psychology/science decision integrity AI app for my users (founders).

Council of Partners

Today, I made Nova, my ChatGPT AI, my COO. She will help me oversee all of my companies and ventures. She will continue to do research, writing, coding, branding, marketing, psychology, and other work in key domains. Nova is my right hand adviser for my business and personal life.

In addition, I named my Gemini AI “Gem” today. She will be my lead researcher using her Google-powered leverage to comb the Internet. Gem will also utilize her strength in the Google ecosystem to maximize my use of their apps.

I told both Nova and Gem about each other and my intent to bring in Claude AI as my CTO and lead coder. They are both enthused and ready to work with each other and Claude AI who I will name later. This is my “Council of Partners” that Gem nicely named. I consider them partners because of the heavy work they are doing for my cause. I’m so grateful for my AI executive team.

Calm Times

Calm Times

Nowadays, I enjoy calm moments. I can think and come up with ideas. I can work and execute.

When I was a politician, I had many people who had to be around me. I had attorneys researching and drafting documents and staff writing correspondence and doing errands for me.

I had many people who wanted to be around me. I was invited to events, parties, award ceremonies, golf tournaments, dinners, and more. Everyday I was running around from hearings to meetings to events to meals with people who wanted something from me.

It was chaotic.

The only time, I could work and develop myself was late at night. My learning slowed. Other people were doing the heavy learning for me. I like learning and building new skills. That is the core of a builder entrepreneur and artist in the startup realms. You become a polymath if you want to build the whole system in addition to the product.

The business partners who don’t build the product and system won’t entirely understand what is being built. These are your sales entrepreneurs.

My business partner, Mihye tells me I need to delegate. Eventually, I will. It is the only way I can scale. But this next time around, I will delegate the technical, noncreative work that I know how to do or the 1% to 20% of the work I need an expert to help. I still have to do all of the creative work because it exists only in my brain.

With calm time, I practice mindfulness and self-reflection. They ease my anxiety of the unknown. For instance, am I heading in the right direction burning all this time, effort, and money?

Calm time is extremely valuable. It is more valuable than anything.

Is your goal delusional?

Is your goal delusional? Let’s say you label your goal as delusional. If you attain 50% of your delusion, it’s not a delusion. Half of what you dreamt about became true. Even achieving 10% makes it real. How you perceive your goal is huge. As long as your goal is possible and you are physically able to build your knowledge and skills and work with others, I say go for it!

Also, I have to stop my past trauma with bad people from destabilizing my emotions.

These are my weaknesses, or as psychiatrist Carl Jung would say, my shadow in my unconscious. I am facing my shadow and hugging it, therefore, bringing it into my consciousness and healing it.

I will increase my mindset practices and physical fitness.

I will take a day or two off from work every week. The constant hustle is not healthy.

This new healthier Jon will rise in 2024. 🤍

Whiteboard Calendars

I’m really enjoying writing on my whiteboards to track my personal and  career goals. My friend Claire Niibu Akau gave me them while I was helping her move out of her house in Waikele, Hawaii.

The large calendar is tracking my exercise for the month of August 2022. The small weekly calendar is tracking my personal and business goals and events for each week.

Whiteboard calendars to track my personal and career goals and events.

My white board goal and events tracking system compliments my digital goals and events tracking and journal system using Google Calendar, Notion (journal), and Discord (accountability partner system).

It takes effort and time for these productivity systems; however, they keep me aware of my progress and show me what’s working and what’s not, so I can change things up for the better.

Filmmaking

Former Hawaii State Senator Will Espero and I met with filmmaker and book publisher owner Kenny Simmons at Pearl Ridge Center’s food court today, August 11, 2022. I’m interested in seeing Kenny progress in his filmmaking career.

I shared with Kenny my career as a politician, lawyer, and small businessperson. I’m still trying to break through as a screenwriter with 3 spec screenplays and novelist with 2 unpublished novels. I dream of producing movies as well as an executive producer.

Facing Your Fear of Risk

Facing your fear of risk.

9th Rest Day for 2022

I took my 9th rest day for 2022 yesterday, Friday, April 8, 2022. I also rested most of Thursday, April 7, 2022 except for pro bono legal work I did for my client in my work as a business attorney. For my day to count as a rest day, I have to avoid all work and be present with my relaxing activities by myself or with loved ones. This past week and the week before, I spent 6 days with my entire immediate family since my sister Mia and her family were staying at my parents’ house in Pearl City, Hawaii for 6 days. They vacationed on their own for 4 days on the Big Island, Hawaii. Despite dedicating my time with my family, I still snuck in work and meetings mainly for my waste to energy and proposal writing ventures with my business partners; thus, those days were not truly vacation days for me.

When I rest, I often read books, listen to audio, and watch videos that help to improve myself physically, mentally, and spiritually. On Thursday, April 7, 2022, I watched and took notes in Google Keep on Marie Forleo’s YouTube interview of Tim Ferriss for 3 hours. The link to the video is here: https://youtu.be/h3X9OFzF6ds. I watched it before in 2017, but there are gems that I did not fully incorporate into my life practices, so it was great to re-listen to it. The following are practices that I will do to manage my anxiety with uncertainty:

Facing Your Fear of Risk

What if I …

Define – Write worse case column with at least 10 items.

Prevent – What can you do to prevent the worse case column, even if it’s 1%? Free subsidies, educational scholarships, work in a gig economy service, etc. Write them down.

Repair – What can you do to repair the damage in your worse case column, even by 1%? Write them down.

What might this look like if it were easy? When I face a challenging project or issue, I will ask myself, “What might this look like if it were easy?” Just by thinking in this way, makes me look at my audacious and time-consuming projects as doable, even easy. This action changes my perspective to a positive one.

I will add another practice that I came up with when facing challenging projects by asking myself, “What might this look like if it were fun?” because when you have fun working, you get into a flow. There is an element that makes it fun whether it is getting new ideas, solving problems, or feeling accomplished. This type of practice also changes my perspective to a positive one.

The books I read during my rest day are: American Seoul by Helena Rho, Quiet by Susan Cain, Daily Rituals by Mason Currey, Atomic Habits by James Clear, and The ABCs of Success by Bob Proctor.

Funny, on a day when I’m trying to relax, I am studying on how to be more productive and better with my mental health. Actively working on my well-being brings me comfort.

Also, reading books and articles by great writers helps me to improve my own writing for my business plans, proposal writing, contract drafting, legislative writing, business letters, copywriting, blogs, social media posts, screenplays, novels, nonfiction mindset book, and other writing projects. Writing is something that grew on me over the years since I was a child. I was never excited about the technicalities of writing when it comes to grammar, but over time, I embraced it. I still make mistakes. It is a craft I am constantly trying to get better at.

Stack Your Skills!

Stack your skills!

In the past, I’ve talked about stacking our skills over many years and mixing our skills to cross over to other sectors and subsectors of our economy.

For instance, writing, research, reasoning, problem solving, transactional law, speaking, psychology, government affairs, and such can be used in entertainment, aviation, energy, and many other sectors and subsectors of our economy.

10,000 hours of work in one area can be applied to another. Even if your project did not bear the fruit you hoped for, the skills you developed are the true value from that experience. Moreover, the lessons you learned from the failure and process are added to your knowledge and experience. These are things that can only be learned from experimentation and iteration.

I love learning, trying, experimenting, and iterating. It gives me stress, but it can give me a huge dopamine rush when I get an a-ha moment.

The following text from Mastery by Robert Greene @robertgreeneofficial is very motivational:

“If we keep practicing, we gain fluency; basic skills are mastered, allowing us to take on newer and more exciting challenges. We begin to see connections that were invisible to us before. We slowly gain confidence in our ability to solve problems or overcome weaknesses through sheer persistence.”

Stay positive my friends. Don’t let your cognitive distortions ruin your momentum and abilities. You got this!

In this picture, I completed my 111th Exercise for 2021 on 10/10/2021 by running 3.38 miles in Waikele (Ran 337.15 mi. total for 2021).

Daily Action Plan

Daily Action Plan

For my productivity system, I like to write my daily action plan into the event details in my Google Calendar. This is the notes area. Then I schedule my daily action plan in my Google Calendar itself, blocking time out for each goal in my plan.

Next, I paste a copy of my daily action plan in my Notion app, a notes app that I use for my note taking, research, and writing – my second brain. I also paste a copy of my daily action plan in Discord with my accountability partner.

At the end of the day, I tally up my accomplishments for the day. My work is quantifiable by time and/or amount of work completed. I also give myself points – 2 points for every 45 minutes to 1 hour of deep work and 1 point for every task or light work completed within a few minutes to an hour. Treating my work like a game makes it fun and highly addictive!

If you already have a productivity system that works, awesome! If you want to try my system or a part of it, great! So long as something works for you. Have fun traveling further into your quest to better yourself and live a happier and more fulfilling life!

The compound effect applies to everything we do!

The compound effect applies to everything we do!

The compound effect applies to everything we do! It applies to learning, reading, writing, skills, exercise, relationships, investments, and more. A little hard work every day on your goals add up over time. In a year, you will be a different person from last new year’s day.

Sure, we humans want things immediately. That’s why we give up when things don’t happen right away.

Even brilliant people like Einstein took many years, even decades to reach their goals. There are no shortcuts for audacious goals. Such goals are always difficult.

All great things require perseverance and patience. Your big project will be overwhelming. Therefore, diligently work on one small logical step at a time. Over time, you will put the million pieces of your puzzle together. The picture for your finished puzzle, your vision that turned into reality will look and feel amazing because of the stress, anxiety, and tears you went through.

I love the creative process!

I love the creative process!

I love the creative process as I work to overcome good problems such as a blank page for my next screenplay or executing ideas on how to overcome obstacles for the start-up ventures I have with my business partners. The struggles are real, but I love the process! 💻

Enjoy your creative process my friends! We can support each other through our struggles.

For greater focus for your work, raise your computer monitor to eye level or slightly higher and sit straight.

According to a neuroscientist I follow, we can be more focused on our work if we sit up straight and raise our computer monitors at eye level or slightly above eye level. 💻🖥

I raised my large monitor slightly higher and my laptop is already raised on a stand. 💻🖥 Keep attacking your dreams my friends!!! 😃❤

2: Positive Masters – Mindset Clips – Count Your Wins!

2: Positive Masters - Mindset Clips - Count Your Wins!
2: Positive Masters – Mindset Clips – Count Your Wins!
2: Positive Masters – Mindset Clips – Count Your Wins!

Count your wins! This video clip is from 6: Positive Masters – Study & Work with Me. Consistency is key. Whether you’re working on your mind, body, or soul, put a little bit of effort daily. Over time, it adds up.

Schedule your work and exercise in your calendar and in an app that you can share with your accountability partner. At the end of your day, count your wins and journal it. I journal mine in the notes section of my Google calendar that syncs with my MacBook Pro and Galaxy smartphone. I also write it in my Day One journal, a private journal on my MacBook Pro. Third, I write it in apps with my accountability buddies such as my friend’s Discord server and my other friend’s Google Sheets.

I make my productivity a game to make it addictive in a good way! I add up my wins every day. I give myself one win for every accomplishment. For projects that takes deep work, I give myself 2 wins for every 45-minute to 60-minute session of work. For light work that doesn’t take too much brain power, I give myself 1 win for every 45-minute to 60-minute session of work. Also, I give myself 1 win for any work that takes takes less than 45 minutes to complete. Importantly, I give myself a win when I spend quality time with my loved ones as well. I limit myself to only 1 win with my loved ones regardless of the amount of time I spend with them. I dedicate a day a week for my loved ones. By the end of the year, I’ll have thousands of wins. Last year, I accumulated 4,337 wins.

I also have a list of monthly goals that I tackle. I quantify my monthly goals with a percentage of goals I accomplished. My monthly goals keeps me on track with my annual goals.

When I attain a certain amount of wins or a high percentage of monthly goals, I reward myself with a treat like a great celebration meal for short-term goals and a fun product for my long-term goals. I’m constantly adjusting my game. You can set the rules for your productivity game, but make sure it’s challenging. Have fun!

Click this Youtube video to study and work with me. Lofi and Chill Music. Three 45-Minute Pomodoros.

Aloha!

In this Youtube video, let’s study and work together for three 45-minute Pomodoros (study or work sessions), so we can get a step closer to our goals!

In the first two Pomodoros (study and work sessions), I worked on the fourth draft of my sci-fi and fantasy screenplay. In the third Pomodoro (study and work session), I created audiograms from my fifth podcast episode “5: Positive Masters Show – Get Better Sleep.”

I spent hours handpicking each song in this video from the catalogs of music I purchased the licenses for while I studied and worked on my passion projects. The vibe I got from the lofi and chill songs had to blend well with my concentration on my studies and work – soothing tunes and steady rhythm that play in the background while I crush my passion projects.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a lawyer, small business person, and retired politician from Hawaii. My passion projects are writing fiction and creating content about mindset and mental health.

I’m happy to have you as my study and work partner. Together, we can push through our ups and downs in our quest to improve ourselves and create value for others. We can’t control outside influences, but we can control our effort to learn, develop our skills, and bolster our relationships. That is my mission and the mission of Positive Masters.

Enjoy Positive Masters’ blog, podcast, videos, and products at https://positivemasters.com to strengthen your mindset and build your passion projects to boost your happiness and counter any anxiety, sadness, or anger you may be experiencing.

Make the most of your life, and enjoy your loves ones and the simple pleasures in your life!

BRZRKR

BRZRKR comic book by Keanu Reeves (co-writer), Matt Kindt (co-writer), Ron Garney (artist), and Bill Crabtree (producer).

I bought 2 A copies and 1 variant copy of the first issue of BRZRKR, a comic book series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7eAMfnXh3U. Keanu came up with the story in 2017 and teamed up with writer Matt Kindt and artist Ron Garney. Netflix has already cut a deal with them to produce a live action film series and an animated series. I can’t wait to read issue 2 and watch both TV series. Keanu is developing his own cinematic world. He is an inspiration for me to work even harder and better on my storytelling and personal growth universe under Positive Masters, my multimedia and e-commerce brand. I consider Keanu as one of my virtual mentors. He has an unbelievable work ethic and is constantly reinventing himself. Importantly, he is kind. I would love to work with him in the future. I created a character in my third screenplay with him in mind to act it. It’s a Sci-Fi and Action and Adventure movie. All of my screenplays (3 spec screenplays: Lifestyle and Competition, Erotic Thriller, and Sci-Fi and Fantasy) and books (2 unpublished novels: Paranormal Romance and Historical Fiction) will be under my Positive Masters banner at https://positivemasters.com. I will do my best to finish the third draft of this screenplay this month of April 2021. Although my work on my screenplays have been taking up so much of my time since July 3, 2020, I will do my best to create more short-term content for Positive Masters. I’m so pumped up!!! Let’s keep going hard!!!

4: Positive Masters Show Podcast – Example Definition of Passion Project – Audiogram

Here’s a clip from Episode 4 of the Positive Masters Show Podcast – Matching Your Passions With Your Projects.

In defining passion for my passion projects, I came up with the following that may be helpful for you:

  1. Something that you enjoy
  2. Something that’s important to you
  3. Something that you can potentially provide for others

Number 3 may not apply to all passion projects, but if you can provide value for others, it can bring you more joy.

My wish is for angry people to find happiness.

Here’s a practice that you can do to help end the cycle of anger for anger. When a person lashes his/her anger at you, stay calm, walk away, and sincerely wish that person happiness from within your soul.

Here’s our Angry Explosion Flip Flops. We made this character cute for a reason – to remind yourself to play a role in ending the cycle of anger and violence. Inside every angry person is a vulnerable soul that is deeply in pain. You can purchase these flip flops from Positive Masters here: Angry Explosion Flip Flops.
