13: Positive Masters – Study & Work with Me. Relaxing Rain. 1-Hour Study & Work Session.
Welcome to Positive Masters where we develop our mindset and passion projects. In this video, let’s study and work together for a 1-hour Pomodoro (study and work session) with the sound of soothing rain.
In the intro, I talk about the importance of managing your energy in order to be productive on your studies and work. Then we dive into our studies and work along to the sound of soothing rain in the background.
I’m happy to have you as my study and work partner. Together, we can push through our ups and downs in our quest to improve ourselves and create value for others. We can’t control outside influences, but we can control our effort to learn, develop our skills, strengthen our mindset, and bolster our relationships. That is my mission and the mission of Positive Masters.

9: Positive Masters – Mindset Clips – Daily Action Plan & Managing Your Expectations
Welcome to Positive Masters where we develop our mindset and passion projects.
For the first half of this mindset clip, I give more details on the importance of having a daily action plan.
In the second half, I emphasize the importance of managing your expectations on when your work can be achieved. By doing your best to do the work and understand the process from A to Z, you get a better idea of how much time and effort it takes to get certain type of work done. This understanding makes you kinder to yourself when you are doing the work or more empathetic when others are doing the work.

Aloha!
In this Youtube video, let’s study and work together for three 45-minute Pomodoros (study or work sessions), so we can get a step closer to our goals!
In the first two Pomodoros (study and work sessions), I worked on the fourth draft of my sci-fi and fantasy screenplay. In the third Pomodoro (study and work session), I created audiograms from my fifth podcast episode “5: Positive Masters Show – Get Better Sleep.”
I spent hours handpicking each song in this video from the catalogs of music I purchased the licenses for while I studied and worked on my passion projects. The vibe I got from the lofi and chill songs had to blend well with my concentration on my studies and work – soothing tunes and steady rhythm that play in the background while I crush my passion projects.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a lawyer, small business person, and retired politician from Hawaii. My passion projects are writing fiction and creating content about mindset and mental health.

4: Positive Masters Show – Matching Your Passions With Your Projects
Episode 4 of the Positive Masters Show has the following practices to help you to match your passions with your projects and to excel at them:
1. Define what passion means to you. Having passion in your project, if defined right, will motivate you to work hard on your project with grit and patience.
2. Practicing “delayed gratification” can help you to succeed on your passion projects and life.
3. Creating many future simulations in your head based on your past success and failure can play a role on your progress for your passion projects. The more you try things, the more you learn from your success and failure, and through this knowledge, you iterate your future simulations to improve.
4. When you no longer have passion for your project, you can apply your knowledge, skills, and relationships that you gained from it to another passion project of yours.

Often times we’re so focused, even obsessed on #winning the big business projects, the marathons, that we bypass the smaller ones that could play a huge role in building us up. For me, the big business projects take a long time and until then, I don’t make any income from them. Recently, I’ve had to adjust and include small to medium projects in order to get quicker turnarounds for income to help sustain myself financially. It can be stressful at times not knowing the future.
What are your strategies for your goals? Do you include small to medium projects with your large projects?
Our mindset is key to our daily hustle. When we have a setback, it’s challenging to maintain our optimism. Our workflow gets interrupted by our disappointment and anxiety. 💻
Having someone positive to work with can be a huge factor. Lately, I’ve been working with my friend Claire at Starbucks @starbucks who I became friends with while at Pearl City High School. She’s building an E-commerce business. We keep motivating each other to keep pushing forward every day. We place tough deadlines on ourselves in order to accelerate our progress. I’m so happy to have reconnected with Claire! I don’t feel as alone as before, working on projects that face a high level of risk .
Keep moving forward on your vision every day! If you can find a positive work friend who motivates you, even better! 😃
My friend Brandon Mitsuda gave me a good luck piggy bank to attract capital, cookbook with recipes from the top chefs in Hawaii, and a beverage to be drank for wins along the journey. I’m motivated to keep working hard every day, enjoy life, and have gratitude for the opportunities and little wins along the way.
May your lives be filled with things that bring you joy! Passionate projects, music, and time with loved ones are some of the things I love. When we are filled with joy, so will our world!
Entrepreneur and Author James Altucher wrote a nice article, which is linked below my article. Mr. Altucher wrote, “The world doesn’t need more DO-ers.” He also stated, “Stillness ultimately creates, Doing often destroys.”
Sometimes “doing” does nothing such as having meetings that have no new information or purpose, just rehashed things that were already in motion. There are times when “doing” is destructive such as having a meeting where people are offended or where we cannot commit to an action because we didn’t complete the preceding tasks yet. At times, waiting on action such as actions by the government or investors can be a good thing because new investors and opportunities pop up that could never have happened had things progressed faster. Patience is a key to success when “doing” does nothing.
Multiple projects and issues are jumping around in my head while calls and messages keep coming in. So much so that I made an error the other day on one of my tasks. Studies have shown that multi-tasking reduces our performance. It’s much better to focus on one task at a time to maximize our output and results.
With all the different projects and goals that I have to accomplish, I think my mind is going as fast as this song “Alone” by Marshmello.
